What this tool does
CommsCrisis is a browser-based drafting tool for incident communications. It runs entirely in your browser. There is no server, no database, no backend, and no API. Every action you take — entering incident facts, generating drafts, copying text — happens on your own device.
Data collection
CommsCrisis does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Specifically:
- No account or registration is required to use this tool.
- No cookies, tracking pixels, analytics scripts, or fingerprinting mechanisms are used.
- No incident facts, drafts, or form inputs are sent to any server.
- No data is written to
localStorage,sessionStorage, or any other persistent storage on your device. - The tool makes no network requests of any kind. The only external resources loaded are the Google Fonts used for typography, which are requested from
fonts.googleapis.comandfonts.gstatic.com.
What happens to your data
Everything you enter and every draft you generate stays in your browser's memory for the duration of your session. When you close the page or tab, all data is discarded. There is no mechanism to retrieve it later — this is by design.
Third-party services
This site loads fonts from Google Fonts. Google's use of data in connection with font requests is governed by Google's own privacy policy. No other third-party service is used.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date at the top will be revised. No other notification will be provided, because no contact information is collected or stored.
